Volunteer Event – Community Servings

Date : August 15, 2025 4:00 pm To August 15, 2025 7:00 pm

Volunteer with BARPCV at Community Servings, Friday August 15, from 4 to 7 PM

Community Servings offers 16 medical diets designed to help people improve their health through nutritionally-appropriate food scratch-made from wholesome ingredients. Annually, they make and home-deliver over a million meals to thousands of families impacted by a critical or chronic illness.

In Jamaica Plain, volunteers assist our kitchen team in our commercial kitchen where we prepare and package all of our medically tailored client meals from scratch. We start the shift with a brief orientation, get everyone suited up in hairnets, aprons, and gloves, and then head to the kitchen to help out with chopping, peeling, packing, baking, etc.

In order to volunteer, individuals must feel 100% healthy and be free of any symptoms of illness, including a cough, fever, chills, body aches, chest congestion, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
