BARPCV Careers Panel on February 24th

Meet Professionals at the RPCV Careers Panel – Wednesday, February 24, 2010. A diverse group of dynamic professionals with leadership roles in business, government, law and the non-profit sector will speak to how their current work was influenced by their PCV experience and the and the paths they took to get there. The RPCV Careers Panel will be held at Generations, Inc. (25 Kingston St., 4th Floor, Boston, 02111 - located near Downtown Crossing) from 6:30 - 8 PM. Bring your business cards, since this is sure to be a great networking opportunity! Volunteer with BARPCV at the Red Cross Food Pantry on Saturday, February 20

Join BARPCV to distribute groceries to members of the community at the Red Cross Boston Food Pantry. The Red Cross Food Pantry provides a variety of foods including canned and dry goods, fresh meat or fish and fresh produce to hundreds of families in Boston. We are looking for five volunteers to help distribute groceries on Saturday, February 20. Our volunteer shift is from 8:30am -noon. Some lifting is required and volunteers will be on their feet for the shift. The Food Pantry is located near 1010 Massachusetts Ave, in Boston, not far from the South Bay Shopping Center and accessible by public transportation by the Number 10 bus. Volunteer with BARPCV at the Boston Marathon!

BARPCV at the Boston Marathon - our 8th year!

The Boston Marathon is coming up on Monday, April 19th (Patriots' Day - a Massachusetts holiday!), and BARPCV will again be volunteering at a water station. We'll be setting up water and Gatorade tables and handing out beverages to runners. This year we'll be at mile 23 in Brookline (Green Line: Washington Square) - fairly close to the finish. We need 60 volunteers! To volunteer, follow these instructions:

Join the BARPCV 50th Planning Committee! As you may know Peace Corps will be turning 50 years old in 2011. As the home to the Kennedy Library and the Peace Corps Archives, Boston will be home to a variety of celebratory events. We’re currently looking for a few dedicated individuals to help plan and organize events in the Boston area to celebrate the occasion.
