Boston University School of Public Health is pleased to invite you to a special event we are holding during International Education Week, to honor the 25th Anniversary of BU School of Public Health (SPH) Master’s International (MI) program, on Friday, Nov 16th from 2-3pm, in Crosstown Building, CT460 (4th Floor), at 801 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA.
In 1987, BU SPH began a collaboration with the US Peace Corps, that combined the Master of Public Health degree with follow on service in the US Peace Corps. BU SPH was the second MI program in the country, but the first in public health. Since then, lots of BU SPH students have served in Peace Corps throughout the world.
We are very excited that the Acting Director of Peace Corps, Carrie Hessler-Radelet, will join us to honor this milestone. During the event, we’ll hear from several Returned Peace Corps Volunteers about how their experience has educated them about the world and influenced their work and also hear from the Acting Director about Peace Corps, recent developments and what’s ahead.
