Deadline to Volunteer with BARPCV at the Boston Marathon Approaching Quickly! 18 More Volunteers Needed.

BARPCV at the Boston Marathon - our 8th year!

The Boston Marathon is coming up on Monday, April 19th (Patriots' Day - a Massachusetts holiday!), and BARPCV will again be volunteering at a water station. We'll be setting up water and Gatorade tables and handing out beverages to runners. This year we'll be at mile 23 in Brookline (Green Line: Washington Square) - fairly close to the finish. We need 60 volunteers! To volunteer, follow these instructions:

1. Go to: http://registration.baa.org/2010/cf/RegVolunteer/pg_WebVolunteer.cfm?mod...

2. If you've volunteered in the past, check your e-mail for your volunteer ID #. If you cannot find it, that's okay. If you find the e-mail, that email will include (a) your Volunteer ID # and (b) direct link to the site. They enter the application using their ID number and zip code (the zip code from last year when then registered with us). Then:

Page 1: Update Contact Information
Page 2: Choose, "Join a Group"
Page 3: Choose "Peace Corps"from the drop-down list and enter pass code "kennedy"
Page 4 & 5: Special Requests, Sign electronic waiver
Page 6: Review and Submit

On screen will be a confirmation number, and a confirmation number will be sent to the email they provided. Remind everyone that seeing the on-screen confirmation is indication that they have successfully completed the online application.
3. If you haven't volunteered before -or- if you cannot find your ID, click "New" and follow the steps above.

If you have questions, contact Aaron at awesolow@rocketmail.com . Family and friends are welcome to join us, but all volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

See you at the Marathon!
