With a financial package worth up to $55,000, the Peace Corps Fellows Program at Illinois State University's Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development offers a unique graduate program and an unrivaled value. Every Fellow receives a 100 percent tuition waiver for all courses AND a paid graduate assistantship. In your second year, paid professional practice includes invaluable field experience and networking opportunities.
Fellows earn a Master's degree in one of five disciplines: sociology, political science, kinesiology and recreation, applied economics, or anthropology. Within each degree program, the ACED subplan covers topics such as community project design and management, grant writing, and economic development tools. Each student also pursues a personal research agenda in areas like sustainable development, education, public health, and housing.
