What is the best way to celebrate being in Boston on a warm summer night? A Red Sox game with your Peace Corps friends, of course!


Join BARPCV and the Peace Corps community on Thursday, August 4th for a special celebration of the Peace Corps while the Boston Red Sox host the Cleveland Indians.


We have reserved a section of bleachers for RPCVs and Peace Corps friends.

The game starts at 7:10pm and tickets are $30 each.

New Book Release: When the World Calls: The Inside Story of the Peace Corps and Its First Fifty Years

1/31/11 - When the World Calls: The Inside Story of the Peace Corps and Its First Fifty Years will be published on February 21 by Beacon Press of Boston, a couple of weeks before the 50th anniversary of the JFK executive order creating the Peace Corps. The book's author, Stanley Meisler was deputy director of the Peace Corps office of evaluation and research during the mid-1960s and followed the work of the Volunteers afterward as a foreign and diplomatic correspondent for the Los Angeles Times for thirty years.

On Saturday, March 5th, Peace Corps will commemorate our 50th Anniversary with a national event at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, MA. This event is free of charge and will feature a full schedule of cultural demonstrations, live world music, film screenings, and educational presentations celebrating our 50 years of promoting World Peace and Friendship.

Additionally, anyone with a valid Student ID will receive a reduced admission rate of $10 per person to the JFK Museum. There is no charge to attend the Anniversary Commemoration.
