Book Club - Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI

Oct 19 2017 - 7:00pm

For October we will discuss the following book, which has just made the short list in non-fiction for a National Book Award:

Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, David Grann, 2017. Traces the history of our government's breaking of promises to the Osage Tribe throughout the 19th Century, the discovery of oil under Osage land, the killing of some two dozen people between 1920 and 1924, and the solving of the murders as the FBI's first significant test. Reads like the plot of a detective novel - "a delicious, many-layered mystery."

We will meet at the home of Sue Kuder. Please RSVP if you plan to attend: SKuder@cmlaw.net.

Can't make it this month? Read the next book and join us in November!
